There are two methods you can use to test your RAM in Windows: the built-in Memory Diagnostics tool (mdsched.exe) and an external tool. Here are the steps for each method:
Prerequisites

Method 1: Memory Diagnostics Tool (mdsched.exe)
Press the

to open the Run dialogue.
Type mdsched.exe and press Enter.
Select "Restart now and check for problems (recommended)".
Your computer will restart and begin the memory diagnostic tool.
Wait for the test to complete. This may take several minutes.
If no errors are found, you will see a message saying so. If errors are found, they will be listed on the screen. You may need to replace your RAM if errors are found.
Method 2: External Tool
Download and install a RAM testing tool, such as Memtest86.
Restart your computer and boot from the tool.
Follow the prompts to begin the test.
Wait for the test to complete. This may take several hours.
If no errors are found, you will see a message saying so. If errors are found, they will be listed on the screen. You may need to replace your RAM if errors are found.
